BECOME A

VOLUNTEER AMBASSADOR (VA)

We are excited to introduce the role of Volunteer Ambassadors! This opportunity will enable you to raise awareness for at-risk youth and give back to the community. Being a VA allows you to represent your faculty, and be involved in the greater campus community. With COVID-19, Volunteer Ambassadors will promote engagement and community in an online and socially distant world.

Why should you apply to be a Volunteer Ambassador?

Volunteer Ambassadors are a passionate group of students from all faculties who are committed to being advocates and activators for the 5 Days campaign! They will volunteer with campaign events, spread awareness of youth homelessness across campus, and help raise support for our partner organization, YESS.

As a Volunteer Ambassador, you will:

  • Support a great cause and create valuable change in the Edmonton community

  • Meet people from different faculties and make lifelong friendships

  • Polish your professional skills, such as public speaking and working in teams

  • Gain worthy, professional experience

What would you do as a Volunteer Ambassador?

Volunteer Ambassadors are extensions of the 5 Days team that will raise awareness for at-risk youth in Edmonton. They will have a variety of roles before and during the campaign.

The roles of a Volunteer Ambassador will include:

  • Conducting Online Classroom Runs

  • Assisting with events throughout the campaign, by hosting and participating in the activities, and helping with the technological logistics for each event

  • Creating content for the events, such as creating trivia questions for each Trivia Night

  • Facilitating the Q&A period for the Panel on Homelessness

  • Participating in marketing campaigns prior to events
